Samuel Johnson, scholar and mordant wit, is quoted as saying, "A man may write at any time, if he will set himself doggedly to it." I'm not sure how impressed the great man would be with my literary output. There are no classical allusions to be found and I've not been rude about Scotsmen, Americans or women preachers at all. To make matters worse, Johnson also said that "No man but a blockhead ever wrote, except for money." Most of the articles on the right were written just for fun. I can feel my ears turn red at the thought of his disapproval.

However, hopefully he'd be impressed by the fact that my spelling is correct, even with big words like sesquipedalian. And I was quite dogged in writing the articles. Honestly. I never, ever indulge in displacement activity. Though, thinking about it, I could do with a cup of tea right now...
If you really must read disparaging remarks about the Scots, Americans or women preachers, I'd advise you to have a wander over here. However, if you want to find out what role movie musicals play in photography and what to do when a leg is accidentally left behind at the bottom of a hill, then feel free to browse the titles on the right. Now, if you'll excuse me I just need to write a simplified version of the above for the Rvd. Oona McTavish of Trenton, New Jersey. She'll never understand it otherwise.
