The Lake District
Weirdly, despite the fact that it’s just a hop and a skip over the Pennines, I don’t go across to the Lake District that often. I really don’t know why as it’s stunning. Whenever I do get over there I end up vowing to go there more often. However, perhaps by rationing myself, I’ll never get tired of the Lakes…

Thanks to a very patient and generous fellow photographer, I discovered the Langdale Fells in 2022. What’s not to like about the area? Blea Tarn is a particularly rewarding location. On a calm day, the surface of the tarn is like a mirror reflecting Langdale Fell in the far distance. A bonus is that the tarn is only a short walk from a nearby car park too.
