Dunstanburgh Castle Coast Photography Workshop

Date 18 May 2024
Time 10am – 4.30pm
Max. group size 4 participants
Cost £80 per person
TWO PLACES LEFT

One thing we do well in Northumberland is building castles on dramatic stretches of coastline. Dunstanburgh Castle is – for me – the most striking and atmospheric. On this small-group photography workshop we’ll spend the day exploring the Dunstanburgh Castle coastline, starting in the fishing village of Craster south of the castle, before moving on to the sandy dunes of Embleton Bay in the north. This will let us shoot a wide variety of subjects including rock textures, the flow of tidal water, as well as views of Dunstanburgh Castle itself. Throughout the workshop I’ll be on hand to answer your photography-related questions and to offer advice on how to make the most of this wonderful stretch of coastline.

Don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to take part in this popular photography workshop or if you’d just like more information about this or any other workshop.

USEFUL INFORMATION
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience and ability, from beginners to more experienced photographers. The small group size allows me to devote ample time throughout the day to each individual participant’s needs and priorities.

Bring with you the camera equipment you already own. A tripod will be useful, but don’t worry if you don’t have one: it is not essential and I should be able to lend you one for the afternoon.

Some walking over uneven ground and up fairly steep slopes, so a reasonable degree of fitness will be needed, along with sturdy walking shoes or boots.
